These were the first two droids I got to work on during my time at Legacy Effects. I was responsible for creating high-resolution meshes that would be printed and body shopped. Creating the NED-B suit was a good challenge in particular, since the actor and original concept had conflicting body proportions. Remaining nondestructive and working with a low SubD/Boolean workflow allowed me to manipulate shapes quickly, based on notes from the client.
NED-B and KP-1 were both modeled using ZBrush.
